Adrien Brandeis - Resurgence (2025) [Hi-Res]

Résurgence is the fourth album by French pianist and composer Adrien Brandeis. This record marks the pianist’s return to France after dedicating his previous project to Mexico and touring extensively across the American continent.

The album features 13 compositions rich in Afro-Cuban Latin jazz, sprinkled with touches of funk, swing, and moments of pure impressionist poetry. Recorded with Felipe Cabrera on double bass, Arnaud Dolmen on drums, and either Abraham Mansfarroll or Yaroldy Abreu on percussion, the quartet shifts through various instrumental combinations throughout the tracks.

These deep and demanding compositions are performed with joyful musical expressiveness, resulting in a fireworks display of rhythms, carried by memorable melodies and great harmonic richness.
