Eric Vloeimans & Licks & Brains - Airchair (2026) [Hi-Res]

Renowned Dutch trumpeter Eric Vloeimans invited the big band Licks & Brains to perform stunning new versions of his music. Vloeimans’s compositions, reimagined for a big band, are grand, funky, and full of swing. "The unique approach, energy, and sound of Licks & Brains create a whole new atmosphere around my music," says Vloeimans.
Licks & Brains has previously collaborated with such notable names as Robben Ford, Benjamin Herman, Joseph Bowie (Defunkt), Ntjam Rosie, Anton Goudsmit, and the remixers Kraak & Smaak.
Saxophonist, conductor, and arranger Rolf Delfos of Licks & Brains comments on this unique collaboration: "In Vloeimans’s works, we are exploring new musical paths that other big bands usually wouldn't dare to take." Vloeimans previously collaborated with Licks & Brains six years ago; now, the partnership has deepened, and the musicians have headed to the studio to record a full-length album.
