Nicole Johänntgen - Henry IV (2026) [Hi-Res]

German saxophonist Nicole Johänntgen has announced her upcoming album Henry IV alongside a 2026–2027 tour. Inspired by New Orleans jazz traditions and saxophonist Arthur Blythe, the record was captured in New Orleans with trombonist Jon Ramm, sousaphonist Steven Glenn, and drummer Paul Thibodeaux. The compositions combine signature second line drum patterns, driving sousaphone basslines, and fiery horn improvisations, serving as a personal homage to the artist's father.
