Alice Leggett - Birdsong (2025) [Hi-Res]

Being born in Wales, then moving to London and now living in Amsterdam, with her debut album Birdsong alto saxophonist Alice Leggett has sought to capture personal experiences from her life so far. “Moving between places has shaped my understanding of belonging, with community and family”, says Alice. “I don’t believe anyone’s journey is linear, and I’ve come to embrace life’s complexities and unpredictability’s—its chaos, deep sadness, joy, serenity, and beauty—as the very things that make it rich and fulfilling.”
Her band includes household names from the Amsterdam/UK jazz scene including Alex Hitchcock (ts), Alistair Payne (tr), Chaerin Im (p), Tijs Klaassen (b) and Wouter Kühne (d).
