MacArthur were formed when a young guitar player and songwriter named Ben MacArthur met a 17-yeard old prodigy musician called Bill Heffelfinger in Saginaw, Michigan, in 1978. They recruited Jeff Bauer on drums and Scott Stockford on bass to record the first album.
