Turtle Skull - Being Here (2025) [Hi-Res]

Turtle Skull, in collaboration with Art As Catharsis and Copper Feast Records, is set to release their new album Being Here—a raw and vibrant dive into neo-psych, blending indie and alt-pop elements. Evolving from their 2020 release Monoliths, this record introduces a new lineup, including synth player Ally Gradon, and embraces a more instinctive, live-recorded approach with minimal studio polishing.

Tracked live at NoWave Studio in Mullumbimby and self-produced, Being Here emphasizes spontaneity, emotion, and powerful songwriting. It explores themes like digital fatigue and the passage of time, encouraging listeners to stay present and grounded.

Sonically influenced by Black Moth Super Rainbow, Spiritualized, and The Flaming Lips, the album is expansive yet gritty. Known for their powerful live shows, Turtle Skull will tour in support of the album, starting with a March 7th gig at the Brunswick Music Festival in Melbourne, with more festival appearances expected.
