Margaux Gazur's first full-length album, 'Blurred Memories' is an exciting venture into electronic mood music that fits in great with the style of Smallville records. This album is full of light house and techno tracks that are more like listening to ambient, jazz or sound collage project more than as any straight forward dance album. Minimal in structure, 'Agata' grows from the deep like watching a painting get made. Warm tones become the focal point as a broken drum slowly brings everything into focus. 'Morning Ride' is a perfect name for a track that is easy on the ears and senses. With elements of ambient, jazz and dub, it expands the sound pallet on this sublime easy going ride. 'This Is Always' extends this exploration, like being surrounded by sounds of an enchanted garden. Peaceful with a light beat for pacing, a gentle warmth comes over your body. Margaux hasn't forgotten this is dance label though. 'Madake' picks up the pace, yet still is an equally beautiful techno gem. The title track closes the album out with the longest journey. In some ways, it perfectly bookends the album, feeling like a bridge back to the start. 'Blurred Memories' is an excellent listening album that shines if give the time.
