Each day one experiences embodies the essence of what we know as "now." Therefore, today is another time in the sense that our conception of what time means to us is all tied to our experience as we live each moment. In music, which is a time-based art, the experience is mirrored in the passage of notes, beats and textures, all packed inside harmonic wrappers of varying complexions. My music is an audible record of my life as I live it--it offers my thoughts, ideas and expressions in a living flow. The beauty of improvisation for me is that it allows me to access things that are not just on the surface.
