It’s a family affair. Votia, led by Marie-Claude Philéas Lambert — daughter of Maloya legend Gramoun Lélé — carries forward Reunion Island’s Maloya legacy. Raised in a rich musical tradition, Marie-Claude formed Votia with family and friends, blending Malagasy and Creole vocals, polyphonic harmonies, polyrhythmic percussion, and African-Indian influences.
