"Blue False Indigo" is both the album's title and the title track of a new, fully improvisational duet between saxophonist Mark Stucky and pianist Sylvie Courvosier. The name, inspired by the plant of the same name with its dark blue flowers, symbolizes the unpredictability and beauty that arise when music unfolds freely - without limits, without structures, without borders.
Like a plant that adapts to different conditions but shines in its uniqueness, music does not follow a fixed form. Rather, Stucky and Courvosier create a new world with every note — intuitive, organic and vibrant.
