Wassim Soubra is a Franco-Lebanese pianist and composer who rose to public attention in the early 2000s with his project Bach to Beirut, a tribute to the music of J.S. Bach infused with oriental sounds (piano, oud, percussion). This project opened the doors to major concert halls for him (L’Européen, New Morning, Café de la Danse, Opéra de Lille, UNESCO Palace, and more). A refined composer and master in the art of crafting pure melodies that blend classical music with the edges of world music, Wassim presents 8 new pieces on Il Vento.
