Woodkid - WOODKID FOR DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH (2025) [Hi-Res]

French composer Woodkid (Yoann Lemoine) has created the soundtrack for the highly anticipated PlayStation game Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, directed by visionary game designer Hideo Kojima. Released by Milan Records / Sony Masterworks, the album is not just a traditional score, but a cinematic and emotional musical experience inspired by the game's themes, characters, and world.

Woodkid, known for his dramatic orchestral and electronic style, worked on the album for over three years, collaborating closely with Kojima Productions across Paris, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. His approach involved composing every track in multiple layered variations. The result is a deeply atmospheric and boundary-pushing work that blends orchestral grandeur, electronic textures, and haunting vocals.

The game, a sequel to the globally acclaimed original Death Stranding (20+ million players), continues to explore themes of connection, isolation, and responsibility. The cast includes Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Troy Baker, Elle Fanning, and Shioli Kutsuna.

The first single, "To The Wilder", released in March 2025, quickly garnered over 3.7 million streams. The full album will be available digitally, on vinyl, and CD, including collectible editions featuring game artwork — a treat for both gamers and music lovers.
