Adrian Sherwood goes back – back to one of the formats that really helped define the vibe of the On-U Sound label in the 80s – the company's great adaptation of the Jamaican 10" dubplate mode into a more widely-circulated format! The cover and approach echo the early days of On-U – and Sherwood's music here really holds to the best spirit of the label – Jamaican-influenced, by with a very British sense of spirit in the way that Adrian has all sorts of dark echoes and tones coming together with dubby production – almost as if the whole thing was culled from rare tapes locked in the vault in 1982! Titles include "The Grand Designer", "Russian Oscillator", "Cold War Skank", and "Let's Come Together".
