Orbital Ensemble - Orbital (2025) [Hi-Res]

Orbital is the debut full-length album by multi-instrumentalist Felipe Sena, who also leads the Orbital Ensemble. Written and produced by Sena, the album features contributions from Lazar Miric (flute, saxophones) and acclaimed Brazilian percussionist M. Takara. It serves as a prologue to the live version of Orbital Ensemble — an eight-piece Toronto-based band that brings the music to life with a rich instrumentation of drums, Brazilian percussion, bass, guitar, flute/sax, acoustic guitar, keys, and vibraphone.

Released by We Are Busy Bodies (worldwide) and Balaclava Records (South America), Orbital blends vintage Brazilian music, modern psychedelia, and jazz, drawing influence from Clube da Esquina, Azymuth, Meta Metá, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Khruangbin, and Badbadnotgood. The result is a vibrant, neotropical psychedelic soundscape bridging past and present.
