Andrea Van Cleef was a Northern Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist known across the European stoner rock and dark americana scenes. From garage punk beginnings to cinematic southern gothic explorations, his solo work included SUNDOG, Tropic of Nowhere, Safari Station, and the acclaimed Horse Latitudes (2024). In early 2020, he released the box set 135, featuring six tracks—three original compositions and three covers of songs by Pink Floyd, Bo Diddley, and Dr. John—blending afrobeat rhythms with fuzzed-out guitar textures. Blending fuzz guitar, acoustic storytelling, afrobeat influences, and atmospheric psychedelia, Andrea collaborated with artists such as Dana Colley (Morphine) and dobro player Matt Smith. His rich sonic palette and emotionally resonant voice made him a standout figure in Europe’s underground rock and Americana circuits.
