On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Modern Talking's first album, singer Thomas Anders surprised fans of the eurodisco formation with a very special project. The singer musically reinterpreted and re-sung the first six Modern Talking studio albums. The most successful duo in German pop history has gone their separate ways since 2003, but the Modern Talking songs, to which they are still dancing all over the world, remain immortal.
The new recordings of the first six Modern Talking albums pay tribute to the uniquely successful duo and the glorious, colorful and seemingly carefree times of the mid-'80s. The songs, once inspired by the pulsating eurodisco sound, are instantly recognizable, but thanks to more modern drums and synthesizers, they have been given a more modern sound.
The 6-album package is released for the first time in Dolby Atmos, i.e. 3D sound. Thomas Anders surprises his fans with two previously unreleased songs on each album. All the tracks were re-recorded with experienced studio musicians led by Christian Geller, and Anders was accompanied by the same backing vocalists who can be heard on the original recordings, so the songs from the original production were recreated as faithfully as possible during the recordings.
The six albums - The 1st Album, Let's Talk About Love, Ready For Romance, In The Middle Of Nowhere, Romantic Warriors and In The Garden Of Venus - will be released at regular intervals from March 2025 until the end of the year on the Stars By Edel label.
