In celebration of 18 years at the cutting edge of underground electronic music, Serialism Records proudly unveils Before Everything Else Vol. 6; a two-part compilation that marks both a legacy and a fresh chapter, a love letter to almost two decades of underground evolution, vision, and community.
Split into Night and Morning editions, each volume comes with its own distinct sonic universe and artwork, offering a full-spectrum journey through the label’s DNA.
The Night Edition (Pt.1) is a pulse-raising selection of House, Garage, Tech House, and Breakbeats, crafted for peak-time sets, warehouse moments, or dark-room euphoria. The forthcoming Morning Edition (Pt.2) will ease into more stripped-down, Minimal, and after-hours territory, a soundscape that has long defined Serialism’s deeper, more hypnotic side.
Among the highlights of Part1 is Brazilian pioneer Renato Ratier, whose visionary influence as both artist and founder of the iconic D-Edge club in São Paulo has been instrumental in shaping the global underground. Dana Ruh delivers her signature brand of analog House Minimalism, soulful, raw, and elegant, while Ilario Liburni comes in strong with a dancefloor weapon built to shake late-night systems.
Subsonic Mind, the hypnotic trio of Andre Buljat, Cisco, and David Gtronic, with a cool, dub-influenced gem. From there, we dive into a genre-defying lineup featuring the legendary Jichael Mackson, a cult hero among electronic aficionados, whose contribution is as refined and timeless as ever.
Argentina’s own Jorge Savoretti, a true veteran and tastemaker of the South American scene, adds depth and narrative with a groove-heavy, funky cut that showcases his masterful touch. Label founder Cesare vs Disorder joins forces with Peruvian producer and label artist Tony V on a perlonesque, refined Minimal House cut perfect for the late night / early morning or warm-up duties.
Further dancefloor ammunition comes from UK master Ray Mono with a minimal Garage-charged Strictly Business, and a sharp tech-funk-House cut by Manuel De Lorenzi & Jamahr, continuing their strong run of underground hits. More unique sound comes from the master Edgar Peng delivering cool Minimal House straight from the Golden Gate club school of thoughts. Then the always on-point label homie Loquace, the Brazilian Old School hero Rodrigo Ferrari, the young and talented Kid Moss & Guedes, the London's analogue heads Jack on Black, and another Brazilian mastermind, Andre Torquato, opening the compilation with a House jewel. Each with unique textures and flavours that round out this powerful first chapter.
Adding to the release’s character is the artwork by Fernanda Mattos, Serialism’s long-time Art Director and visual architect. Since the very beginning, Fernanda has shaped the label’s bold, ever-evolving aesthetic with a unique visual language that balances avant-garde energy with timeless underground attitude. Her new designs for Vol. 6 continue this legacy, presenting two beautiful, distinct visual worlds for the Night and Morning editions.
Slated for release at the end of June, right in time for Europe’s peak summer clubbing and festival season, Before Everything Else Vol 6 is more than just a compilation; it is a statement.
Stay tuned for Part2: the Morning Edition, where Serialism drifts into stripped-back minimalism, heady after-hours vibes, and sunrise soundscapes.
