Fausto e Serse" is a collaborative acoustic duo album by Italian pianist, composer, and producer Sergio Cossu alongside chromatic accordionist Fausto Beccalossi. Cossu, previously known as a long-time keyboardist and songwriter for the Italian pop group Matia Bazar (1984–1999) and founder of the Blue Serge label, has in recent years turned his focus toward intimate chamber music. The album title plays on the musicians' first names while paying tribute to the post-war cycling brothers Fausto and Serse Coppi, echoing their shared rapport despite differing personal temperaments.

The recording centers on the interaction between Cossu's piano and Beccalossi's chromatic accordion. Beccalossi brings a background of international jazz collaborations with artists such as Al Di Meola, Enrico Rava, Kenny Wheeler, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Paolo Fresu. The repertoire consists primarily of original compositions written by Cossu, previously introduced on his solo piano projects or with the trio Triello, rearranged here for a stripped-down duo setup.

Recorded in 2025 and released on May 8, 2026, through Blue Serge (under license to Pirames International Srl), the project expands Cossu's acoustic catalog alongside earlier records like "Falsopiano" (2019) and "Café del Duende" (2023), placing the work within contemporary Italian chamber jazz.
