IN RAGE WE DANCE is a sonic act of resistance — a tribute to the oppressed who continue to dance through brutality. It’s about the body as a site of defiance, where rhythm becomes collective, and movement becomes memory. From the Kurdish Chopi to the Palestinian Dabke, from Lorestan’s swirling Sepa to the raï groove of Cheikha Rimitti — the album honors how these dances defy erasure and declare: we still exist.

Following the artist’s previous album To Trucks, a sonic journey across Iran, this release draws from the broader soundscape of marginalized communities across the Middle East. Though unable to travel and record as before, the artist channels voices, darbuka rhythms, and field-inspired textures through a digital lens — blending folk roots with powerful, politically charged electronic music.

It’s a cry from the dark — a beat that echoes through broken streets in Gaza, blacked-out Beirut, and across the rooftops of Sulaymaniyah. A dream where dancers from Tehran to Herat move as one. Where sound says what words cannot. In grief, in rage, and in hope — we dance.
