¡Viva Astor! is a studio album by the Philadelphia-based Divine Hand Ensemble, a vibrant tribute to the revolutionary Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla. Featuring iconic works such as Libertango, Adiós Nonino, and the cinematic obscurity 12 Monkeys, the album reimagines Piazzolla’s original arrangements with the ensemble’s distinctive instrumentation: five violins, two harps, and the soaring, otherworldly voice of the theremin. The album is divided into two sides—Classic Tangos and Nuevo Tangos—with a centerpiece duet bridging the two.
