This new CD presents the rarely recorded organ compositions of contemporary Italian keyboard player and music director Arturo Sacchetti. The organist Marco Limone performs nine of his works on the Brondino Vegezzi-Bossi 2008 organ at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Centallo.
Very few Italian musicians have contributed to the development of the organ repertoire as much as Arturo Sacchetti. Since studying at the Milan Conservatory, Sacchetti has given more than 2300 concerts as organist, harpsichordist, pianist, and choir and orchestra director, and recorded over 150 albums. Sacchetti is also however an important composer of organ music and has written many extraordinarily beautiful works over a period of 40 years, including the nine pieces featured on this disc.
The talented young organist Marco Limone comes from Turin in Italy. He is here playing the Brondino Vegezzi-Bossi 2008 organ at the Giorgio Federico Ghedini Music Conservatory in Cuneo Church of the Holy Trinity, Centallo.
