Ricochet is the tenth studio album by American punk rock band Rise Against, their first full-length release in four years. The album is a "ricochet parable," in which every thought, action, or inaction has a consequence. Musically, the album blends the band’s signature sound with new elements, including acoustic, Western-tinged guitars and electronic-inspired drum beats, giving it a cinematic feel. The album tackles themes of global interconnectedness, nationalism, social media, and mental health, while remaining politically charged. Across twelve tracks, produced by Catherine Marks (known for her work with Boygenius and St. Vincent) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore), the album features both blistering punk anthems and more introspective compositions, making it one of the most sonically ambitious and diverse records in the band's discography.
