Crayola Lectern - Disasternoon (2025)

Disasternoon is the third studio album by Crayola Lectern, the project of Chris Anderson. It is described as "psychedelic melancholia" and a "carousel of dreams" where each song is an allegory rich with textures and emotion. The album explores themes of isolation, catastrophizing, and human fragility, blending acoustic and electronic elements enriched by instruments like the theremin, mellotron, and cornets. The lyrics, while used sparingly, create a narrative of personal experiences and universal feelings that took on new meaning during the pandemic. The album features the tracks "Disasternoon," "Stars Over Louth," and "Dissolve," with album artwork created by Alfreda Benge.
