Various Artists - Across the Horizon Vol. 1 (2025) [Hi-Res]

Across the Horizon is a curated series from Northern Spy Records focusing on contemporary instrumental music. Each edition features renowned artists who invite fellow musicians to create exclusive tracks. The project blends ambient, drone, minimalism, Americana, and experimental folk, bridging diverse genres.

Throughout the year, eight digital drops (each with three tracks) are released, later compiled into a limited-edition double vinyl and risograph zine. The first season features artists such as Pan American, Luke Schneider, Dave Harrington, Marisa Anderson, Stelth Ulvang, Walt McClements, David Moore, and William Tyler. The series fosters creative exchange and explores new horizons in instrumental sound.
