Simtec Simmons - Got to Get over the Hump (2019)

Got to Get over the Hump is a digital compilation album released in 2019, featuring recordings by the American soul duo Simtec Simmons and Wylie Dixon, with additional contributions from Jun Mhoon. Most of the tracks on the album, including the title track, were originally recorded in the early 1970s and were released on labels such as Mr. Chand and Shama Records. The Chicago-based duo Simtec & Wylie was known for their "hard soul" sound, which was often compared to that of Sam & Dave.
