KAOLILA invites listeners to escape with their debut album, Pilhoù. The sound is surprising, raw, and vibrant. Three voices, amped-up percussion, and fierce rhythms carry their music. Through portraits of women, the band recounts their struggles. Celtic queens, pirates, African resistance fighters, and pacifists from across the Atlantic. Intoxicating melodies celebrate the warrior love of these women and men. KAOLILA has created a new style and a rich music with punk energy. Born from the anger of a protest song and the melancholy of blues from all over the world. Iodized like a gwerz from their far western Brittany.
