The Secret Goldfish return with their first album in 25 years. Originally a tribute to favourite songwriters, Empty Holster gathers covers of tracks by Vic Godard, Davy Henderson, and James Kirk. Over the years, the project expanded to include reinterpretations of songs by Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham, Port Sulphur, and The Beach Boys.
Recorded across decades and finally mastered by Samuel Joseph Smith, the album features guest contributions from Mick Slaven, Campbell Owens, Francis Macdonald, and Amelia Lironi of QUAD90. A highlight is 'Elevator'—a long-lost collaboration with Jim Beattie of Adventures in Stereo, restored after 15 years.
