Yana - The Light Between Us EP (2025) [Hi-Res]

EP „The Light Between Us” is the result of a very unique project I was involved in last year. A very talented artist and a warm person - Sylvia Ong invited me to collaborate, in which I was to create 6 songs, which in turn were to be an inspiration for her new paintings. For the first time I had the opportunity to immerse myself in such a reverse process, where the music is created first and only then the image follows.
Our collaborative project resulted in an exhibition „The Light Between Us" that took place in the Almine Rech gallery in Brussels last autumn, where music and image existed together for the first time. The second part of the journey is an EP of the same title, which is released today.
I am very grateful to Sylvia for inviting me into her world and to this unique collaboration. Composing for paintings, as you might imagine, is a slightly different experience than creating your own album. However, it seems to me that together we have created a world that can brighten the space around anyone who wants to enter it.
