Universal Totem Orchestra - The Magus (2008)

The Magus is the second studio album by the Italian progressive rock project Universal Totem Orchestra, released in 2008 on Black Widow Records.

The album is crafted in the rare and expressive genre of zoel. The soundscape is built on massive, hypnotic bass riffs, complex jazz-rock polyrhythms, rich organ parts, and the powerful operatic vocals of Ana Torres Frau.

Unlike their debut album, The Magus boasts a darker, occult atmosphere and complex compositional structures, combining elements of avant-garde jazz, symphonic rock, and gothic drama.
