"XXX" is the 30th-anniversary album from the Hungarian band Söndörgő. Comprised of three brothers, a cousin, and a friend, the group is one of the most respected ensembles in Balkan music. The album showcases their virtuosic command of the tambura (a type of Balkan mandolin) and their dedication to the traditional South Slavic music they inherited from their father. At the same time, "XXX" highlights the band's evolution, incorporating elements of psychedelic rock, funk-rock grooves, and even classical influences. Recorded with producer Barry Saviano, the album features a powerful and clean sound that emphasizes both their acoustic virtuosity and the more experimental facets of their music.
