Love Songs is a collaborative album by Swedish singer, poet, and artist Sara Lundén and multi-instrumentalist Christer Bothén, released in 2019 on the ÅHANA label. The album blends genres such as jazz, avant-garde, acoustic improvisation, and elements of folk/world music. Minimalist in its presentation, the voice and poetic lyrics of Sara Lundén intertwine with the deep, meditative sounds of bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, donso ngoni (a West African harp), and piano. The music creates a chamber-like, almost intimate atmosphere where every word and sound carries weight.
