“Welcome to the Mood” is the fifth studio album by New Zealand collective LEISURE, expanding their signature soul-electronic sound with a stronger live-recorded feel. Moving away from loops and samples, the band incorporated live strings, brass, piano, and backing vocals. Lyrically, it explores love, loss, connection, hope, and purpose, while the sound blends nostalgic warmth with futuristic textures. The album’s visual concept draws inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, reflecting the group’s vision of art as a space for creativity and human connection.
