Orcutt Shelley Miller is the self-titled debut album by an avant-rock trio featuring:

Bill Orcutt (Harry Pussy) — guitar
Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth) — drums
Ethan Miller (Howlin Rain, Comets On Fire) — bass

The music draws from the high-firing free jazz and European outer-rock of the 1960s–70s, as well as the Pacific Rim’s underground reimagining of rock form in the 1990s. It blends volcanic riffage, hypnotic phrasing, rhythmic nods to SoCal ’60s rock, and atonal slash rooted in mid-’80s SST punk-fusion, resulting in a “big rock statement” that balances good times with mind-bending intensity.
