I can't tell you how much joy went into making this record. It was one of those rare times in life that felt pure and full of light—I’ve tried to hold onto that feeling, and on the hard days, I remind myself how good things can be.

Around 7am on 2nd January 2025, I warmed some fresh bread and made a flask of coffee. I had breakfast with my Grandad who had awoken especially early to see me off. I collected my oldest friend Callum, and at first light we headed off into the snow, to Black Bay Studio.

This is the result of five years of work, and the deep and lasting friendships that grew along the way. This record is only as great as those who gave up their time and energy to make it.

As a friend once reminded me, “things should start to get interesting right about now”.
