Gabba - Smestániá (2025) [Hi-Res]

Smestániá is the second album by Norwegian band Gabba, released in 2025 on Drengestua Records. Led by Sámi joik master John André Eira, the group blends traditional joik with Norwegian folk, blues, hip-hop, African grooves, and Indian influences.

The album title refers to their creative home and studio, Drengestua in Oslo, where the band lives and records. The music captures the spirit of that place: late-night jams, celebrations, and the sounds of both nature and the city. Compared to their award-winning debut, Smestániá is more energetic, playful, and youthful, while still deeply rooted in Sámi tradition.
