K. Frimpong - The Black Album (2025)

The 1977 album "The Black Album" by Ghanaian musician Alhaji K Frimpong is a masterpiece of the Highlife genre. It combines traditional Ghanaian music with experimental electronic elements and Afro-Jazz influences, especially in the 15-minute track "Adam Nana". Despite its popularity in Ghana, the album was never released internationally. Original copies and even the limited 2011 reissue are very rare and highly valued on the second-hand market.
