Los Cinco Cardones - El Quinto Cardón (2025)

Los Cinco Cardones is a new musical ensemble from Mexico, formed in 2024. The group performs a unique blend of afrobeat, jazz, and experimental music inspired by desert atmospheres. Their debut album, "El Quinto Cardón," recorded in March 2025, is characterized by complex asymmetric rhythms, layered instrumentations, and free improvisation. United by a love for rhythmic complexity and creative freedom, the collective's music is described as free, restless, and vividly alive.
