Babo Moreno is the musical project of Fabio De Oliveira, a respected British-Brazilian drummer and percussionist from London. His debut self-titled album is a dedication to his Brazilian roots, expressing joy, nostalgia, and a sense of alienation associated with his dual identity. The music is a unique combination of jazz and traditional Brazilian rhythms, such as Forró, Ijexá, and Maracatu, blended with London's energy. Fabio, who has worked with artists like Sault and Jacob Collier, enlisted leading musicians for his debut, and his project has already gained recognition at major festivals and radio stations, including BBC 6 Music and Jazz FM.
