Marta Forsberg - Archaeology of Intimacy (2025) [Hi-Res]

Swedish-Polish composer Marta Forsberg is releasing her new album, 'Archaeology of Intimacy'. This work represents a departure from her previous long-form compositions towards experimental pop music and is her most intimate record to date. The central element of the album is Forsberg's own voice, which she uses in all its vulnerability, including breaths, exhales, and other imperfections, turning initial sketches into final versions. The sound palette is complemented by synthesizer improvisations and fretless bass guitar. Despite its apparent restraint, the album is strikingly diverse, ranging from atmospheric soundscapes to near-operatic pieces with autotune and strings. 'Archaeology of Intimacy' is the quintessence of Forsberg's work, where her compositional mastery is combined with the creation of strong melodies, a deep interest in the voice and synthesis, creating timeless and futuristic music.
