This is the soundtrack to the biographical sports drama "The Smashing Machine," directed and written by Benny Safdie. The film tells the story of the legendary mixed martial arts and UFC fighter Mark Kerr (played by Dwayne Johnson), his struggles with addiction, love, and friendship at the peak of his career in the year 2000. The soundtrack was composed by the Belgian experimental and ambient jazz musician Nala Sinephro, for whom this work marks her debut in cinema. The album was written in the fall of 2024 and released on Warp Records in collaboration with A24 Music.
