The album "4x70" LIVE IN MOLDE is a live recording by a quartet of four veterans of the Norwegian jazz scene: Vidar Johansen, Erling Aksdal, Sigurd Ulveseth, and Tom Olstad. The project's name is symbolic: all the musicians were born in 1953 and celebrated their 70th birthdays in 2023, deciding to mark the occasion by forming a band together. Although they have known each other and collaborated in various configurations for nearly 50 years, this is the first time all four have come together as a single unit. Their music is built on a deep mutual understanding and a rich shared repertoire, which includes both jazz standards and original compositions by the members.
