Michaela Melián - music for a while (2025) [Hi-Res]

Visual artist and F.S.K. co-founder Michaela Melián has released her fourth autonomous LP, titled "music for a while," her first since 2013. The record is characterized as a blend of dark chamber music, ambient techno, and cinematic sound art, creating a dreamlike yet ominous atmosphere. Co-produced with Felix Raethel, the recording features violinist Ruth May and violist Elen Harutyunyan. Melián combines the sounds of cello, guitar, bass, and zither with atonal synthesizers, expanding the palette to include electroacoustic and experimental music. The album also includes avant-pop cover versions of "My Other Voice" by Sparks and "they say it's wonderful" by Irving Berlin.
