Nicole L’Huillier - Respuestas (2025)

The label Buh Records is releasing Respuestas, the new album by Chilean sound artist Nicole L’Huillier. The album is based on her exhibition Resonaciones, which involved activating ancient whistling vessels from the Moche culture. The album presents a soundscape created from the vibrations of these vessels, recordings of planetary tremors, environmental noises, and AI-mediated reinterpretations developed in collaboration with Manaswi Mishra. L’Huillier uses techniques similar to musique concrète and sound collage to create an immersive experience that explores the materiality of sound. The album, based on the principle of reciprocity, connects ancestral heritage with contemporary technologies.
