Luca Curcio - La Bomba (2025) [Hi-Res]

La BOMBA is the debut statement album from Italian bassist, composer, and producer Luca Curcio, based between Berlin and Copenhagen. The project presents a unique sound world where acoustic compositions and improvisations, recorded in Denmark with an international ensemble including Francesco Bigoni, Erik Kimestad, Sölvi Kolbeinsson, and Simon Olderskog Albertsen, were later sampled, chopped, and reassembled using electronic production in Berlin. The album features a bass-driven sound, fluid and unpredictable forms, and a collision between jazz improvisation and electronic production methods. La BOMBA is positioned as a radical yet accessible vision of contemporary, rhythm-forward, and urgent jazz.
