Emma Elisabeth - A Sudden Break In The Clouds (2025) [Hi-Res]

The album was recorded with me and my band all in one room, doing takes together until all of us were happy. Being recorded on tape and working in this beautiful big studio room gave the whole album a certain energy that feels really special. It’s very much a synergy of all of us, our dynamics as a group, and our creativity during a short period of time captured on a record. I’m usually extremely perfectionistic and detailed and tend to take way longer to work on recordings. With this album I decided to embrace the process, take a step back and look at the big picture instead. Fascinating and humbling, and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved. I decided to name the album “A sudden break in the clouds”, named after a lyric line on the album. In general it’s less dark than its predecessor, the rain clouds are clearing up and there is some more sunlight shining through (even though it still holds its fair share of melancholy). It deals with finding stability, staying hopeful, feeling lost and finding your way again.
