The release commemorates the singer's centennial and was issued under the Craft Latino label. The collection brings together recordings from the Tico, Vaya, Seeco, and Fania Records labels, emphasizing the artist's versatility as she effortlessly transitioned from Afro-Cuban rhythms to Salsa and Bolero. The album includes iconic hits such as the Afro-Cuban anthem "Quimbara" (from the 1974 Celia & Johnny album), the salsa classic "Usted abusó" (a collaboration with Willie Colón), and the guajira-son "Guantanamera". The collection features collaborations with Latin music legends like Tito Puente, Johnny Pacheco, Willie Colón, and the Fania All Stars. The 2025 edition includes new liner notes by Ana Cristina Reymundo, co-author of Celia Cruz's authorized autobiography.
