Arnau Obiols - Ocelltambor (2025) [Hi-Res]

"Ocelltambor" is the title of the new album by Pyrenean musician, composer, and creator Arnau Obiols, with the vinyl release anticipated for December 2025 and a presentation concert scheduled for March 20, 2026, at L'Auditori de Barcelona. The album is described as a luminous work, an act of love and hope, born from attentively listening to the world and transforming it into a sonic universe that blends nature, mountains, silence, humanity, fragility, and resilience. It serves as a "song of life" and a "sonic flowering" amid contemporary turmoil, offering a space of calm and beauty. Arnau Obiols (La Seu d'Urgell, 1985) began with percussion and drums, later adding vocals inspired by Pyrenean singing. His work bridges the Catalan-speaking and Pyrenean musical heritage with contemporary interpretation, intertwining folk with jazz, improvisation, and avant-garde sound creation. He has released several solo albums, including "Mont cau" (2022), which garnered critical acclaim and awards. The artist has also collaborated on various projects, created sound installations, and engages in visual arts, connecting different disciplines. The production of "Ocelltambor" involved Santi Careta (production), Adrià Serrano (recording), Jan Valls (mixing), and Victor Garcia (mastering), alongside several guest musicians.
