Gato Barbieri - Euphoria (1979)

The album "Euphoria" was released by the Argentine jazz tenor saxophonist Gato Barbieri in 1979 on the A&M Records label. The album consists of seven tracks, most of which were composed by Barbieri himself, including "Theme From Firepower" and "Secret Fiesta". The recording featured an all-star line-up of session musicians, including Billy Cobham (drums), Anthony Jackson (bass), Eric Gale (guitar), and Richard Tee (keyboards). The album was produced and arranged by Jay Chattaway. It represents a continuation of Barbieri's shift from avant-garde free jazz to a more accessible sound of Latin Jazz and Jazz Fusion with pop elements, characteristic of his A&M works in the late 70s.
