Om - Conference of the Birds (2006)

"Conference of the Birds" is the second studio album by the American band Om, released on April 17, 2006. It was recorded as a duo consisting of bassist and vocalist Al Cisneros and drummer Chris Hakius, both former members of the influential doom metal band Sleep. The album's sound is based on a minimalistic, meditative, and monolithic drone-doom/stoner-rock approach, where Cisneros's low-tuned bass guitar serves as the main melodic and heavy instrument. The album was engineered and produced by Billy Anderson, known for his work with Melvins and Neurosis. This is the final studio album to feature drummer Chris Hakius.
