Lynn & McConville - Otter Beds (2025)

"Otter Beds" is the third release by the duo Lynn & McConville, presented by Kinnego. Named after a quiet location on the shore of Lough Neagh, the album captures both a sense of place and a spirit of collaboration. The record originated from live, improvisational sessions using guitar, block flute, and drums, and was subsequently refined in the duo's home studios with overdubs. The resulting sound is a combination of the spontaneity of improvisation and added textures. The music is characterized as expansive yet focused, drawing inspiration from hypnotic Motorik grooves and the uplifting currents of spiritual jazz, ultimately creating a deeply human, exploratory, and grounded musical work.
